Triple T and it’s really Tuesday!

Greetings folks! How are you this steamy Tuesday? Will it ever end? Between the heat, the virus and the political climate….we will come out ‘oh so very’ resilient on the other side of all of this. Really!

Well, your kind thoughts and prayers did work this past week. I was able to get a rapid COVID test on Thursday and got on a plane at 10 pm that evening, headed to Boston. I got to attend my son and daughter in law’s baby shower, see my son play music in Cape Cod, enjoy some cooler weather (and rain) and fly for the first time in over 6 months. Wow! What an experience.

So may need to deal with a bit of jet lag for a few days. Woke up at 3 this morning. Yikes. Bear with me while I inhale some more caffeine. Likely in bed by 7 tonight.

So, we are starting to receive some nominations for Celebrating Champions for Youth (CC4Y) but will still need a boatload more! Send ’em in friends! Please go to the home page to nominate and register for our virtual event.

We will be doing another Reversing Overdose training on 9/16, where participants can receive nasal narcan for attending. Please see the flyer for this on our events page.

All of our committees are busy and meeting monthly and ALWAYS need new members. Events & Marketing. Education & Outreach. Sustainability. Youth. Opioid. We will also be working on an anti-marijuana campaign in line with the upcoming ballot measure to allow for recreational marijuana use. Our stance is not a political one. We are opposed to: youth access to marijuana, the high levels of THC in marijuana products and the low perceived harm of using marijuana by our community, particularly our youth. If you want to learn more about this or any of our committees, email me at [email protected].

I hope you all have a great week. Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay safe. Stay happy!
