National Prescription Drug Takeback Day: Saturday, April 28
Nearly 1 in 10 Tempe teens have abused pain relievers, stimulants, sedatives and other prescription drugs according to the 2016 Arizona Youth Survey.
Of those, 14 percent got the drugs from their home medicine cabinets.
It’s time to clean out your unused drugs!
On Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m., you can take any unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs to either of the following locations:
Tempe Police Headquarters
120 East 5th Street
Tempe, AZ
Tempe Police Apache Substation
1855 East Apache Boulevard

Can’t make it on April 28? The takeback containers, called MedReturn, are available in the lobbies of both locations for you to drop off your unwanted or expired prescription drugs during business hours – Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding city holidays.
